Version 1.0


First update of 2026, and hopefully not the last! I’ve decided to start using version numbers and I’ll start here at 1.0, even though true 1.0 was probably quite a while ago. Hopefully, this will make it a little easier for people to update their killbots using the changelog, especially if they missed more than one update. 

Otherwise, mainly some minor rules clarifications, as well as making explicit some of the other ways you can play the game.

Administrative Changes:

  • Decided to break down changelogs into categories
  • Decided to start using version numbers for clarity, starting with this version as 1.0

Clarifications:

  • Clarified some wording in the main rules
  • Clarified some wording on some equipment
  • Fixed an error with the Nominal Targeting Computer software abbreviation
  • Fixed an inconsistency with use of brackets

Tweaks:

  • Added a list of additional objectives for the Concept Mission
  • Added notes to the Concept Mission and main rules about using enemy guidelines for a game without a game master
  • Added notes to the main rules about PVP
  • Alphabetised Hardware, except Advanced, Cooperative, and Ammo Cases

Balance Changes:

  • Buffed Weapon Overcharger (Power -5 > -2)
  • Nerfed Shield Regenerator III Charger (Power -10 > -15)

New Additions:

  • Added Grenade I Concussive
